Founded by Sambarta Banerjee, a FIDE-rated player and passionate instructor, the club quickly evolved from small gatherings to a comprehensive chess academy.

As a FIDE National Instructor and rated player, he brings both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to every lesson. He has coached students who have gone on to win tournaments across three continents and ten countries, adapting his methods to each student's unique strengths and learning style.
